Ryan is an excellent trainer. I was somewhat of a couch potato, but at my desk for 9 hours a day plus a 2 hour commute.
Ryan is beyond qualified to teach and train. He is patient, and motivates me and pushes me. I am stronger, healthier, and have much more energy . The best feeling and exciting is that I fit in clothing that I never thought I would wear again. Without him I would not have the motivation to stick it out.
On a personal note, Ryan is one of the kindest people I know. He is friendly, understanding, flexible and really cares about you reaching your goals. He is a good friend to every person who trains with him. He is also funny, keeps you motivated when you just want to give up. He will not let you give up, he only encourages you.
Working out with a trainer can seem intimidating, but with Ryan, you relax immediately. He is friendly and engaging, and there is no judgement, no discouragement about what you can’t do. It’s all about what he thinks you can achieve. He encourages and inspires you even when you feel like you can’t do even one more rep. Ryan does this by designing workouts that make sense to ME. And that is the best thing about working out with Ryan – he pays attention. There are no cookie-cutter workouts with him. He is present during my entire workout, gaging my strengths and weaknesses, figuring out what works for me and what does not, and he adjusts accordingly. He manages to somehow keep me on the edge of what is tolerable yet challenging for me. Since working out with him, I feel stronger and more fit than I ever have. Maybe best of all – I find myself laughing throughout these often strenuous workouts. And I actually look forward to the next one!
